Study permit

Contact the school directly for questions regarding admission, curriculum etc. You can only apply for a residence permit when you have been admitted to an officially recognised educational institution.

To obtain a student permit you must meet the following requirements:

  • Confirmed admission to a university or univeristy college with at least a one year curriculum
  • Sufficient financial means
  • Confirmed accomodation during the studies
  • Full time student
  • Present a complete program of studies in Norway for residents outside of the European Union and the EEA

If you would like to apply for a student permit, the following documents should be presented:

  • Application form for residence permit with two ID photos
  • Copy of all the pages in the passport
  • Proof of admission to a study program
  • Overview of the study program
  • Certificate proving financial means; Scholarship in Norway or bank deposit in a Norwegian bank
  • Proof of housing
